What we drive

Six things people book, and what actually happens.

Airport and cruise terminal transfers

Bookings taken any hour. Airport runs from 3am.

We watch your flight number. If you land forty minutes late at three in the morning, the car moves with you and the fare doesn't change. Domestic pickups are kerbside at your terminal; international is a meet-and-greet at arrivals with your name on a card. Cruise runs go to the Overseas Passenger Terminal or White Bay, timed to your boarding window rather than to traffic you're hoping doesn't happen.

Corporate and executive travel

Standing bookings for the same people, the same runs, the same driver. Accounts are invoiced monthly, not tapped for at the kerb. The car is quiet — no radio unless you ask, no conversation unless you start it. If you need to take a call between Wollongong and North Sydney, that hour is yours.

Weddings and events

We hold the car for the whole block, not for a pickup and a drop. That means we're there for the run to the church, the wait, the photographs at Austinmer or Bald Hill, and the drive to the reception. Two cars where the party doesn't fit in one. We arrive early and stay out of the photographs.

Day tours

Southern Highlands wineries and Bowral, Kiama and the coast road south, or a day in Sydney with the car waiting between stops. You set the shape of the day; we handle parking, timing and the bits between. Tours are quoted as a full-day rate, so a long lunch costs the same as a short one.

Scheduled and medical appointment runs

Recurring bookings for treatment, specialists and regular appointments — often the same day each week. The same driver each time, who knows the entrance you use and where to wait. We'll take you in, and we'll be outside when you come out, however long it runs over.

Long-distance and intercity

There is no distance we won't quote. Canberra, Newcastle, the Hunter, the far South Coast, interstate if that's where you're going. Longer runs are quoted as a single fixed figure covering the distance, the driver's time and the return leg. For anything over three hours we'll talk through timing before we confirm, so the day is built around your arrival rather than the other way around.

The fleet

Two cars, chosen for the road they actually drive.

The coast and escarpment roads see a lot of rain. Symmetrical all-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, all the time — a steadier, quieter car in the wet, and the unremarkable reason a bad forecast doesn't change your pickup time. The weather stays our concern, not yours.

Both GP Drive cars parked side by side facing the ocean, a wave breaking behind them — the 2025 Subaru Forester STI on the left, the 2021 Forester on the right, both in silver.
The 2025 STI, left. The 2021, right. Both silver, both all-wheel drive.

Flagship

2025 Subaru Forester STI

The default car for airport runs and corporate work. Red leather interior, sun roof, and a back seat quiet enough to sleep in — which most 4am passengers do.

Drivetrain
Symmetrical all-wheel drive
Passengers
4 with luggage
Luggage
4 large cases
Interior
Red leather, dual-zone climate, rear vents

Full EyeSight suite — lane keep, adaptive cruise, pre-collision braking

Second car

2021 Subaru Forester

Same drivetrain, same trim level, same standard of care. It exists so that two bookings at the same hour are both on time, and so a group of seven travels together rather than in shifts.

Indicative fares

Tell us the run. See the number now.

Fares are worked out on distance, at a flat $1.80 a kilometre, with a $50 minimum on short runs.

Bookings taken any hour. Airport runs from 3am.

Indicative fares for common runs, showing where the car is picked up, where it goes, the total distance billed and the fare at $1.80 per kilometre.
Pickup Going to Distance billed Indicative fare
Thirroul Sydney Airport 122.6 km $221
Wollongong Sydney Airport 148.9 km $268
Thirroul Sydney CBD 141.4 km $255
Thirroul Overseas Passenger Terminal 146.5 km $264
Thirroul Southern Highlands (Bowral) 159.6 km $287
Thirroul Wollongong 27.4 km $50 minimum

The pickup suburb is in the fare because the car drives to you and home again afterwards — a Wollongong airport run is $47 more than a Thirroul one, and saying so here beats surprising you later. Austinmer, Bulli and Coledale are close enough to Thirroul to read that row as theirs: their airport fare lands between $221 and $229. Anywhere else, put the real addresses into the calculator below.

Every fare here is indicative — we confirm it in writing before you book, and the confirmed figure is then fixed.

  • The distance is the whole job

The car coming to you, your journey, and the car returning to Thirroul — because that is the distance actually driven.

  • Nothing is added later

No meter, no surge, no airport surcharge, no rounding up because it rained.

  • Tolls and parking are in it

Included in the figure, and the fare is per vehicle, not per person.

Pick from the list so we price the right spot.

Common destinations

Anywhere is quoted the same way — Kiama, Canberra, Newcastle, interstate. If an address won't resolve, or you'd rather just ask, send the run through or call 0438 675 025 and you'll have a fixed price today.

Child restraints

We don't carry child seats. Under NSW law a booked hire car is treated like a private vehicle rather than a taxi, so children under seven must travel in an approved restraint suited to their size. You're welcome to bring your own and fit it — both cars have anchor points. Tell us when you book and we'll allow the time.

Book a ride

Tell us the run. We'll come back with a fixed price.

Every field marked required helps us quote accurately the first time. If it's urgent, or you're already standing at an airport, call 0438 675 025 instead — that's faster.

Required to quote. Everything else is optional — leave it blank and we'll ask if we need it.

The run

Naming an airport or cruise terminal opens the flight number field.

Travelling with children under seven? Read this first — we don't carry child seats.

You

We'll text you the driver's details the day before.

Call instead — 0438 675 025

Replies within a few hours, and always the same day. Nothing is charged until you've confirmed the price.

Why GP Drive

The unremarkable things, done every time.

  • Licensed, insured, authorised

Fully licensed and insured, and authorised by NSW Point to Point Transport. Authorisation BSP-419185. Ask to see any of it.

  • Flight tracking on every airport run

We watch the flight, not the clock. Early, late or diverted, the car meets the plane that actually lands.

  • Meet and greet at arrivals

International pickups are met inside the terminal with a name card. You don't hunt for a car park or a rank.

  • Water and gum, complimentary

Cold bottled water and chewing gum in both cars, restocked before every pickup. Worth more than it sounds at 4am, or straight off a long flight.

  • Luggage confirmed at booking

We ask how many bags because four large cases and a pram is a real question. Nobody gets left on a kerb.

  • All-wheel drive, every car

Both cars drive all four wheels, all the time. It makes for a steadier, more comfortable ride in the wet, and it means the forecast doesn't change your pickup time.

  • A driver who knows your run

For regular bookings we hold the same driver wherever the schedule allows — someone who already knows your usual pickup point and how you like the car.

From the owner

Every journey is mine to answer for.

The GP is me — George Patouklias. I've lived in Thirroul for 40 years and I've driven this coast in every kind of weather it has.

I started GP Drive because the alternative for people here is an app that sends whoever is closest, at whatever price the moment decides. You don't know who is coming, you don't know what it will cost until it's over, and if nobody turns up at four in the morning there is no one to call. That's a poor way to start a holiday and a worse way to start a working day.

So the model is simple. You deal with me, not a dispatcher. I know the queue at T1 departures moves better from the far end, that the OPT wants you there ninety minutes out, that Bulli Pass in heavy rain wants ten minutes more than the map says. I keep the cars immaculate because your comfort is my priority, and I turn up early because lowering your stress is part of the product.

Book once and you get the same car, the same driver and the number you were quoted. That is the entire offer. I'd rather be judged on it than advertise it.
